November Activity

Our Annual Craft Night will be Tuesday November 13th
3-8 pm at the church
dinner served at 6pm

Nursery is provided only between 6 and 8 pm

Come when you can.  Even if you don't sign up for anything there will be a make-and-take table, and a Humanitarian quilt to finish, and of course, the yummy food and sisterhood.

UPDATE:
Bishop has asked that we run all funds for our Terrific Tuesday through the "Other" category on the usual donation (tithing) slip.
We are asking that sisters bring their money for their projects the evening of our activity. We will have a little table set up where people can pay all at once.

Crafts and sign up sheets will be at the church every Sunday by the Relief Society room.

Not crab apples

We couldn't resist, and made a crab caramel apple for the bishop who announced at church that we were having a "crab apple activity".
Close, but not as tasty as regular apples.

It was a perfect night to be together visiting and making sweets!  Below are a few highlights.

Many thanks to Amber and the Burr's for letting us have a cozy setting for our activity.

Over 350

We are blown away at the success of our One Hundred Dresses activity!
Thank you to everyone who donated clothing.  At the last count there were just over  350 items of clothing gathered for the shelters.  We are thrilled to have so greatly surpassed our goal of 100 dresses.

Thank you to all those who helped with our activity to make it a beautiful success!  We loved seeing so many smiling and laughing together as we got to know each other better.
We look forward to having more combined activities with the first ward.

Clothing Exchange
The Garden City Clothing Exchange will be open every Wednesday between 4 and 7.  You can drop off cloths then or come shopping.  We request that the cloths are in good repair and good condition so we can sell them.  We will take anything that can be worn, ie, shoes, coats, hats, purses, etc.  We will take any size, kids to adults, and items for both men and women.  We need to get a pretty good stash right now so we have inventory to sell.  Every item will be sold for 50 cents. We are not in the making money business.  The money will go to the city for the use of the room.  We will also take donations of hangers and cloths racks so we can hang some of the items.
