PEARS
We have been invited by our Stake Relief Society to order fresh pears from the Medford Oregon Pear Farms. These are pears that are just too big for the cannery peeler. After seeing pears just thrown away, The Pear Guy came up with a brilliant plan. He has built relationships and contacts that provide us a chance to purchase in groups at a  price more affordable for canning and enjoying delicious pears. All pears are refrigerated from the minute they are picked until they are delivered.

40 pound box for only $24 = 60 cents a pound

Mother nature is a little slow this year so we can expect the pears to be delivered mid to late September. All orders must be turned in by August 1, 2011.

You can check out the website at www.thepearguy.com which has some helpful information about where these pears come from and why they are offered at such a great price.

Watch for info on group canning days as soon as we find out when we get the pears.

From Jessica Ward:
Hello to all my sisters, moms, and grandmothers,

I miss you all so much! I wanted to let you all know that I had my baby on May 9th and we named him Terrek Dean Ward.  He was born at 5:13am. He was 6lbs. 11oz. and 21 ½ inches long. He is flawless!  Tavis loves to be the “babysitter” and krya loves to be the diaper fetcher.  We are having a blast.  Well let’s be honest I am exhausted but I am loving it.  We will come to visit soon.

Love you all so much.
